Among Sicilian chefs, Salvatore Vicari’s personality is certainly the least conventional.
With an academic background in Law and a couple of different careers in his past, Vicari became a chef later in his life, driven by curiosity and passion.
He’s a self-taught professional, inspired by the national and international gourmet scene and guided by his personal taste. With the support of his wife Jessica Andolina, always by his side on new projects, Vicari has created a cuisine defined by originality and quality. Soon after the beginning of his culinary journey, he begins to receive praise and accolades. His Noto restaurant bearing his name is mentioned in gastronomic guides and is reviewed in prestigious hospitality magazines.
The chef also cultivates a passion for theatre. Chef Vicari is also an actor, as well as superintendent of the theatre Teatro Tina di Lorenzo, which is really another way for him to express himself and present his art to an audience.
It’s not surprising that such a unique and innovative approach to food service would stem from this eclectic collection of hobbies and interests.
It was this intense pursuit of innovation that in 2024 pushed Salvatore and Jessica to take on an ambitious challenge: associating their names with the historic restaurant and lounge bar Anche gli Angeli, leaving a permanent mark.
